I am a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Health Services, Policy and Practice and at CHeSS - Center for Health System Sustainability at Brown School of Public Health. Here you can find details about my CV, research, and teaching. ​

I am a health economist. My research asks how health and wealth move together from midlife onward, and what longer lives mean for the systems that finance and deliver care.

Using quasi-experimental methods and longitudinal data on older adults across countries, I study how wealth tracks mortality in the United States and Europe, how a cardiovascular event reshapes work, retirement, and financial security, and how care systems can meet rising demand as populations live longer.

I also study the cardiovascular patient journey, from clinical risk factors and chronic disease through organ failure, transplantation, and mortality. I am the PI at Brown SPH for CARDIO-DAY, a consortium funded by the La Caixa Banking Foundation that evaluates the clinical, economic, and system-level impact of a cardiology day-hospital model.
